Brothers, Michael (Editorial) - Pequannock  
PEQUANNOCK — Services were held for Michael T. Brothers, 84, of this township, who died on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Born and raised in Chicago, Ill., Mr. Brothers lived in the Bronx, N.Y., and Chicago again before moving back to Bronx for nine years, settling in Pequannock 50 years ago. He was a butcher in Manhattan, N.Y., for many years at the Edmund Mayer Meat Packing House. Later, he was an insurance agent for Prudential for 12 years before retiring. Also, he was the owner and operator of Brother's Drive Thru, Pequannock, from 1976 to 1984. He was a parishioner of Holy Spirit R.C. Church and Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church, Pompton Plains, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society, past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Bishop Navaugh Council, Eucharistic minister, and member of the council's softball league as well. And, he was a U.S. Navy veteran. Services were Tuesday at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church. Arrangements were by the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Eva's Village or the NYFAC Foundation, or the Somerset Hills Learning Institute. Mr. Brothers is survived by his wife, the former Ann Maher; his children, Cathy Basile, Michael Brothers, Kevin Brothers, Tracy Brothers, and Tim Brothers; his sisters, Frances and Pat Carroll; his grandchildren, Pamela Earps, Danielle Basile, Jenna Basile, Patrick Basile, Michael Patrick Brothers, Jon Enriquez, Devon Seidell, Brittany Brothers, Brianna Brothers, Melanie Brothers, and John Robert Brothers; and his great-grandchildren, Ella and Xander Earps, and Gregory Seidell. He was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Grace Brothers.

CARCARA Mary C. (nee Merendino), 74 of Saddle Brook on June 25, 2016. Before retiring Mary was a data processing associate for the Bergen County Board of Elections, Hackensack. Afterwards, she was a school lunch aid at Smith School, Saddle Brook, and subsequently she became a security guard at Bambergers /Macy's, Paramus. Predeceased by her parents Gaspare and Rose. Beloved wife of Bart. Devoted mother of Gina Hrnciar of Lodi, and Dr. Sal Carcara, D.M.D., M.S. and wife Jennifer of Allendale. Loving grandmother of Ryan and Morgan Hrnciar, and Nicolette, Giada and Salvatore Carcara. Dear sister of Theresa Fredericks, Michael Merendino and the late Anthony Merendino. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday 9:30 AM at Santangelo Funeral Home, 300 N. Main St., Lodi, then to St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Cherry, Veronica (Editorial) - Lincoln Park  
LINCOLN PARK — Services will be held for Veronica "Ronnie" Cherry, 80, of this community, who died on Sunday, June 26, 2016. Born in Paterson, Mrs. Cherry was a lifelong resident of Lincoln Park. She was a secretary at Bell Labs. Later, she worked at a machine shop. She had a family farm as well. And, she was a lifetime parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, Lincoln Park. Arrangements are by the Keri Memorial Funeral Home, Lincoln Park. Interment will be at St. Cyril's Cemetery, Boonton. Mrs. Cherry is survived by her children, William Cherry, AnnMarie Cherry-Mohn, and Stanley Cherry; her brother, Ted; her sister, Cealie Crim; and her grandchildren, Kimberly Mohn, Christen Cherry, Jillian Mohn, Jacqueline Cherry, Allison Cherry, and Kathryn Cherry. She was predeceased by her husband, Stan; her son, Stanley; and her brother, Stephen.

Consentino, Faye* - Hackensack  
CONSENTINO Faye, age 71, of Hackensack passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 26th, 2016. Faye was born in Paterson, NJ and lived in Fair Lawn before moving to Hackensack. Faye was a passionate and dedicated high school teacher of English, Speech, and Creative Writing, retiring after 40 years of service in 2010 from the New Milford School District. Loving mother of Jill Rapoport and her husband Doug, Scott Consentino and his wife Kelly. Proud grandmother of Avery and Olivia Consentino and Allie Rapoport. Beloved sister of Gail Sciametta and Jack Koppelman. Beloved stepmother to Joseph Consentino and Stephanie Herrunzie. She was pre-deceased by her parents Sol and Shirley Koppelman of Fair Lawn. Faye was a vivacious, spirited woman with a warm loving smile. She enjoyed many things but most of all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 27th from 7-9PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com , 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 28th at 11AM at the funeral home, with interment to follow.

RINGWOOD — Services will be held for Rosana Gorozdos DiFelice, 89, of Franklin Lakes, who died on Friday, June 10, 2016. She was the mother of Bruce of this community. Mrs. DiFelice lived in Upper Saddle River before moving to Franklin Lakes. She was a homemaker. Services will be at the Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River. Mrs. DiFelice also is survived by her other children, Denis DiFelice of Tampa, Fla., Kevin DiFelice of Colorado Springs, Colo., Donna Tilden of Cascade, Idaho, Diane Petermann of Chester, Carla Sica of Wyckoff, and Greg DiFelice of New York City; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert; and her son, Gary.

DiFELICE Rosana (Gorozdos), with deepest sorrow we announce that our beloved mother died on June 10, 2016, at age 89. She was of Franklin Lakes, formerly of Upper Saddle River. Nurturing wife and mother who always found room for more at the table. Her loving and caring heart found expression in gardening, nursing, and later puzzling/ playing pool with her dear friends at the Horizons. Rosana, like her parents and siblings, had an adventurous spirit. Over the last five years, thanks to daughter Diane and husband Kenny, she checked off a "bucket list" of dreams, and in each place visited the family she loved. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Albert DiFelice, in 2010, and son Gary in 2008. She is the mother of Denis (Eva) in Tampa, FL; Kevin (Katie) in Colorado Springs, CO; Bruce (Denise England) in Ringwood, NJ; Gary (2008) and Dorothy Demetriou in Flemington, NJ; Donna (Bob Tilden) in Cascade, ID; Diane (Kenny Petermann) in Chester, NJ; Carla (Rich Sica) in Wyckoff, NJ; Greg (Donna) in New York, NY. Grandmother of fifteen and great-grandmother of ten, plus many more in her extended family. A funeral Mass will be held July 30th at 11:00 AM at Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River, NJ.

PARAMUS - Rudolf A. Durcan, 89, formerly of Wayne, died on June 20. Rudolf was a staunch veteran of the U.S. Army, and worked as a line worker for Ford Motors after his military service. Rudolf was the father of John and his wife Susan, Jerry, Jennifer McCarthy, Judith and Joanne; grandfather of Jana Schulz, Anya, Matthew, Lee and Ginny; uncle of Tom and Sherry. He was predeceased by his brother Ernest.

Eardley, Michael* - Clifton  
EARDLEY Michael P., 96, of Clifton died Sunday. Born in Clifton, New Jersey, Mr. Eardley he was a lifelong resident. He was employed as a Machinist at Curtiss Wright Aeronautical Division of Wood Ridge for 25 years and as a Supervisor for eight years. After retirement from Curtiss Wright, he owned Mickey's Luncheonette located at 1057 Main Avenue in Clifton for 20 years. Mr. Eardley was a Veteran of the US Army during World War II serving in the 79th Infantry "Cross of Lorraine" Division as part of the 904th Field Artillery Battalion. He was part of the Campaigns in the Battles of Normandy, North France, Rhineland and Central Europe. He earned a Bronze Star Medal and Distinguished Cross of Lorraine during his term of service to his country. His division returned to the United States on December 10th and he married the former Genevieve Hordynski on December 29th, 1945. He was a parishioner of St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church of Woodland Park, a member of VFW Post #7165 of Clifton, the Clifton Elks Lodge, Clifton Seniors, AARP 1995 of Clifton, he was a Senior Bowler at Garden Palace in Clifton; a Passaic County Democratic Committee Member and served on the Clifton Traffic Commission. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Genevieve "Jean" Eardley; by his daughter, Arleen Eardley, his four brothers, George, Ernest, Louis, and Joseph Eardley and by his sister, Cora Sanborn. Survivors include: his son, Brian Eardley and his wife, Sheila of Elmwood Park, NJ; his daughter, Janis Tulp and her husband, Gary E. Tulp of Toms River, NJ; his brother, Anthony Eardley of Totowa, NJ; his four grandchildren, Michael Eardley, Kelly Bogad and her husband, John, Guyler Tulp and his partner, Kristen Carey and Gary R. Tulp and his wife, Amanda; and his five great-grandchildren, Michael and Christopher Eardley, Genevieve Bogad , Dillon and Emily Tulp. Funeral Services will be Wednesday Morning from Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton and then to St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church, 802 Rifle Camp Road, Woodland Park. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Visitation 4-8PM Tuesday.
