NEWFOUNDLAND — Services were held for William Engels, 62, of this community, who has died. Born in Bayside, N.Y., Mr. Engels lived in Maplewood before moving to Newfoundland. He was the owner of Engels Trucking Corp. Also, he was a member of the Green Pond Yacht Club. He was a musician as well. Services were Monday at the Green Pond Bible Chapel, Newfoundland. Arrangements were by the Norman Dean Memorial Home, Denville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Green Pond Junior Sailing Program, c/o GPYC, P.O. Box 322, Green Pond, NJ 07435; or to the Bone Marrow Transplant Network. Mr. Engels is survived by his wife, Kristen Dawson; his sons, Jamie and Jonathan; and his sisters, Sheryl Zemanek, Carol White, and Janet Engels Downing.

ENGSTROM Jayne Luby, of Branford, CT, wife of Albert, mother of John and Brian, passed away on August 14, 2015. A former resident of Paramus, NJ who graduated Paramus Catholic H.S., Marymount College and a masters degree from Fordham University. Daughter of Yolanda and the late Joseph Luby of Paramus. Sister of Janet Luby Detaranto (Nick) and Joseph Luby Jr. She was Director of Marketing for Comcast of Berlin, CT. Arrangements by Clancy & Son Funeral home, Branford, CT.

Ferrante, Martha* - Blairstown  
FERRANTE Martha E., 80 years of age, passed away on August 30, 2015 at her home in Blairstown, NJ. where she had resided since 1984. She had formerly resided in Woodcliff Lakes, Bergen County, NJ She was born in Monaco, WI to the late Forrest and Gertrude (Rogers) Green. She had been a bookkeeper for Tri-F Corporation for over 30 years. She is survived by her husband, Robert Ferrante, two daughters, Cheryl Ferrante Zysk and husband Zen, Laura Ferrante Ulsamer and husband Rick, two sons, Dr. Robert Ferrante and wife Patty, Michael Ferrante and wife Susan Dietz Ferrante, three grandchildren, Gabrielle, Nicholas and Matthew, two sisters, Mary Gaffney, Rita Bazil and was predeceased by a sister Bea Armando and a brother Paul Green. A period of visitation will be held from 5-8 PM, Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Route 94, Blairstown, NJ 07825 (Use Columbia for GPS) with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM, Thursday at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, 7 Eisenhower Road, Blairstown, NJ. Interment will be at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Airport Road, Green Township, NJ.

Giannantonio, Peter* - Palisades Park  
GIANNANTONIO Peter M., age 87, of Palisades Park, NJ, died peacefully in his home on Sunday, August 30, 2015. He was one of ten children born to Antonio and Luisa Giannantonio. He is survived by his sister Christine Lischick and brothers Eddie and Gene. Pete is predeceased by his sister Phyllis Gentile and brothers Frank, Nick, Emil, Anthony, and Albert. He is remembered by his surviving in-laws and joins his deceased in-laws in eternal peace. He is the revered uncle to many nieces and nephews who have fond memories of Uncle Pete. He proudly served his country in the Army during the post World War II reconstruction period. Pete was employed in the local embroidery and food industries. He was also employed by the US Postal System in Ridgefield. Pete was a proud lifelong resident of Palisades Park. For many years Pete maintained the family home at the top of Brinkerhoff Avenue. He was the family patriarch, historian, and always ready to provide the correct answer to a question about family history. Pete was fond of his nieces and nephews. They were pleasantly surprised when he would call or pop-up in their lives. Pete extended his family by forming a circle of caring friends Marga, Judy, Lisa Bertoli and daughters Gianna and Mia. He maintained an active life with the help of Willy, his friend and aid. Willy was a true friend who assisted with Pete's end of life care in his home. Lisa provided the compassionate and loving end of life nursing care that made Pete's last days peaceful. Pete's family is thankful to his caring friends and aides. Pete will be missed by his family. Funeral from the A.K. Macagna Funeral Home 495 Anderson Avenue Cliffside Park, NJ, on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 9 AM. thence to St. Nicholas R.C. Church in Palisades Park, N.J. where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 AM. Entombment to follow at Madonna Mausoleum in Fort Lee, N.J. BUTLER — Services will be held for Dorothy "Dottie" Joan Haber, 95, of Alpine, Calif., who died on August 27, 2015. She was a former resident of this borough. Mrs. Haber lived in Belleville and Butler before moving to Alpine. Arrangements are by the Morrison Funeral Home, Butler. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Mrs. Haber is survived by her son, Bill of Milltown; her daughter, Susan Shoemaker of San Diego, Calif.; her granddaughters, Jennifer Pratt, Kimberly Callahan, and Tara Ann Shoemaker, all of San Diego; and her great-grandchildren, Jaya, Owen, and Madeline, all of San Diego. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles; her son, Charles; her parents, Bill and Clara Schaefer; and her siblings, William, Herbert, Clara, Hazel, Eleanor, George, and Harold.

Intelisano, Rudolph* - Toms River  
INTELISANO Rudolph L., Sr., of Toms River, NJ, formerly of Passaic, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 at his home peacefully with his loving family by his side. Rudy was born in Passaic, NJ where he and his first wife Rosemaur started the Intelisano Funeral Home. Moving to Toms River in 1969, they started the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home in 1973. He then acquired the Intelisano-Scarpa Funeral Home in Clifton with his daughter Teresa. In 1987 Rudy married Jean Agro and they continued to reside in Toms River while wintering in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He served in the United State Navy during the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Luke's RC Church, Toms River where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and he was a communicant of St. Ambrose RC Church in Deerfield Beach, FL. He was a member of the NJ State Funeral Directors Association, the Brick Elks Lodge #2151, former member of The Geraci Citizen League of Passaic. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus John D. Mc Mahon Assembly, 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus St. Joseph Council of Toms River, a member of the Harmony Lodge # 18 F & AM of Toms River, a life member of the VFW Brick, former member of The Friendship Club Passaic, Passaic UNICO and a past member of the Columbia Civic League- an Italian American Organization of Ocean County where he served as President for 2 years. He was predeceased by his first wife Rosemaur Zangara Intelisano and his son Rudolph L. Intelisano Jr. Surviving are his loving wife Jean, his devoted daughters Teresa C. Intelisano and Paula DeJohn, son in law Gregory, and his cherished granddaughter Rosemaur Intelisano. Also surviving are his step sons Michael Agro, James Agro and his wife Renee, loving grandson Nicholas, and many loving nieces and nephews. Rudy was a very proud man, especially when it came to his family. He touched the lives of many, and had a loving and strong heart. He will be sorely missed by all that had the privilege of knowing him. Visiting will be Tuesday 7-9pm, and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Rd., Toms River. A Mass of a Christian Burial will be held Thursday 10:30am at St. Luke's RC Church. Arrive at the funeral home 9:00am. Entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park. Koziol, Helen (Editorial) - Kinnelon  
KINNELON — Services will be held for Helen Koziol, 93, of Mount Pleasant, S.C., who died on Thursday, August 27, 2015. She was the mother of John of this community. Born in Central Falls, R.I., Mrs. Koziol moved to Poland at the age of 6 and returned to the United States years later, living in Toms River before moving to Mount Pleasant. She was a seamstress. Arrangements are by the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. Burial will be at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Mrs. Koziol also is survived by her daughter, Sophie Messenger of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; her other son, Gene Koziol of Parsippany; her grandchildren, Jackie MacPhee, Laurie Messenger, Linda Leiker, Cindy Messenger, and Victoria Koziol; and her great-grandchildren, Jessica and Jake Leiker. She was predeceased by her husband, John; and her grandson, John.
