Demarest, Jeanette (Editorial) - West Milford  
Services were held for Jeanette Thompson Demarest, 70, of this township, who died on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Born in Oakdale, La., Mrs. Demarest lived in Paterson before moving to West Milford 40 years ago. She was a special education teacher. Also, she was a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She was a former Eucharist minister at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt. And, she was a member of the NJEAR. Services were at the Richards Funeral Home, West Milford, followed by Mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the West Milford Girls Softball Association, Box 482, Hewitt, NJ 07421. Mrs. Demarest is survived by her husband, Albert; her sons, Matthew and Jefferey; her daughter, Annette Juskiewicz; and her grandchildren, Mackenzie, Peyton, Abigail, Justin, Jessica, Kate, Owen, Ryan, Dylan, and Derek. She was predeceased by her parents, Dale and Iris Thompson.

DeYoung, Edward (Editorial) - Ringwood  
RINGWOOD — Services were held for Edward M. DeYoung, 79, of North Haledon, who died on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. He was a former resident of this community. Born and raised in Paterson, Mr. DeYoung lived in Prospect Park and Ringwood before moving to North Haledon 37 years ago. He was a history teacher at John F. Kennedy High School, Paterson, for 38 years. Also, he was a U.S. Navy veteran. Services were Monday at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, Lafayette Avenue in Hawthorne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kan. 66675. Mr. DeYoung is survived by his wife, the former Barbara Fischer; his daughters, Patricia Wozney of North Haledon, and Laura DeYoung of Venice Beach, Calif.; and his grandchildren, Justin Wozney of Los Angeles, Jonathan Wozney of Worcester, Mass., and Julia Wozney of North Haledon.

Dickerson, Alice* - Lansdale  
DICKERSON Alice Mary Russhon, 94, of Lansdale, PA died peacefully on April 14, 2015 at Brittney Pointe Estates. Her devoted husband John J. Dickerson, the love of her life, was at her bedside daily. Alice was born June 7, 1920 to George Russhon and Alice Roberta Carr Russhon. She was raised in Leonia, NJ, and attended local schools, graduating from Leonia HS in 1938. Alice graduated from New Jersey College for Women, Class of 1938, now Douglass College, Rutgers University with a degree in art. She remained a supportive alumna throughout her lifetime and was proud to attend her 70th reunion in 2012. Following her graduation, she was employed by the Bendix Corporation as one of the first female draftswoman supporting the WWII effort. During this time, she fell in love with a fellow Leonia HS graduate and young WWII pilot, John J. Dickerson, Jr. They married shortly after his honorable discharge from the Army Air Corps, and began a marriage that would last 69 years. The young couple moved to Palisades Park, NJ and began a family that would include five children. Alice taught art and John began a career with the Port Authority of NY and NJ that included many years as General Manager of Newark Airport. In addition to raising her children and caring for her family and extended family, Alice was a talented watercolor artist, a skilled seamstress, a beautiful quilter, and an active member and volunteer in her church. She was a fun loving, active participant in life and a constant companion, soul mate and helper to her husband, John. In later years, John and Alice moved to Pennington, NJ and spent 16 years enjoying retirement in a more rural setting. She was a resident of Brittney Pointe Estates for 15 years, Willow Brook Court for the past year. Survivors include her beloved husband, John J. Dickerson, her children Barbara Closs (Richard) of Harvard, MA, Kathleen Jascott (Ron) of Plano, TX, John E. Dickerson (Laurie) of Belvidere, NJ, and George R. Dickerson (Sohelia) of Wallingford, CT. Another daughter, Ellen Marie Dickerson, predeceased her in 2007. In addition, Alice is survived by eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the Staff at Willow Brook Court for their gentle care of Alice in her last months and their consideration to allow John to spend as much time with her as possible. The family also thanks Abington Hospice and Home Care for assisting Alice and her family to the end. A Memorial Service will be at held at 10:30 AM, Friday, April 24, 2015 at Brittney Pointe Estates, 1001 South Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, PA 19446. Burial will be private at a later date. DOWBYSZ Wiktor of Wallington, died on April 15th, he was 80. Wiktor was born in Poland on Jan 18th, 1935. He came to the United States in 1977, first living in Passaic, then to Wallington. He worked as a truck driver and retired on Feb 2nd, 2000. His family and neighbors said that he could always be found working in his yard and gardens. Wiktor is survived by his beloved wife Maria Czochara, his dear children Anna of England, Beata of Poland and his son Pavel of Poland. He is survived by his cherished grandchildren, Max, Mark, Michal and Jan. He is also survived by his brother Michal, two nephews Tony and Piotr and two nieces, Bogoslawa and Zenaka. Visiting Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave, Wallington. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10AM Tuesday, at St. Joseph's Parish, 7 Parker St, Passaic. DIANNE MARIE Sister. Funeral services for Sister Dianne Marie Durak will be held at the Felician Sisters' Immaculate Conception Chapel, Lodi, at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Sister Dianne Marie will then be laid to rest in the Felician Sisters' Cemetery. Sister Dianne Marie died on April 17, 2015, in Lodi, New Jersey. She was 82 years old and had been a Felician Sister for 60 years. A Wake Service with Evening Prayer will be held at Immaculate Conception Chapel on Monday evening, April 20, 2015, at 6 PM. The former Dorothy Durak, Sister Dianne Marie was born in Bayonne, New Jersey in 1932. She entered the postulancy of the Felician Sisters in Lodi, in 1954; received the Felician habit in 1955; professed her first vows in 1956 and final vows in 1962. Sister Dianne Marie is survived by members of her extended family and by her religious community.
