Fuller, Paul (Editorial) - Rutherford  
Paul Calvin Fuller, 91, of Tinton Falls, formerly of Rutherford, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015. He was born to Louis and Jean Fuller in Boston, Mass. Mr. Fuller was an engineer for Raybestos Manhattan Company in Passaic for 32 years before retiring in 1986. Mr. Fuller was an avid sailor who built and raced A-class catamarans achieving the North American Championship several times. His sailboat was affectionately named "Catnip." The Fuller Cup Trophy was named by the North Jersey Yacht Racing Association, after him. The Lake Hopatcong Multihull Club recognized Mr. Fuller in November of 1992 for outstanding leadership in the promotion and advancement of catamaran sailing and racing. It also honored him at the same time as the designer and builder of great catamaran racing boats. He also built and raced DN iceboats. One of Mr. Fuller's other pastimes was playing classical music on the piano. Mr. Fuller will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 59 years, Ruth (nee Lendick), his brother, Clint Shurman, his nephew, Eric J. Lendick, and wife Linda. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 5, from 4-6:30 p.m., immediately followed by a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford. Rev. David Groenveldt will be officiating. Cremation will be private.

Giacobbe, Girolamo (Editorial) - Lincoln Park  
LINCOLN PARK — Services will be held for Girolamo J. Giacobbe, 97, of this community, who died on Friday, May 1, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Giacobbe lived in East Meadow, Long Island, N.Y., and Kenoza Lake, N.Y., before moving recently to Lincoln Park. He was an electrician for many years. Also, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Arrangements are by the Caggiano Memorial Home, Montclair. Entombment will be at Hackensack Cemetery. Mr. Giacobbe is survived by his sons, Peter Giacobbe and Michael Sandstrom; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Elizabeth Tumminia; his daughters, Geraldine Moore and Emily McElroy; and eight sisters.

CARLSTADT - RoseAnn Kathleen (nee Pierzhalski) Giannella, 63, of Carlstadt for more than 30 years, passed away at home on May 2, 2015. Mrs. Giannella was born in Pennsylvania. For more than 20 years she was a real estate broker currently working at Nicholas Real Estate Agency in Clifton. Mrs. Giannella was the beloved wife of Edward A. Giannella, loving mother of Michael E. Giannella, dear sister of Vincent L. Pierzhalski and Mary Beth Janaskas and her husband, Michael, cherished godmother of Kayla Janaskas, and caring aunt of several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Wednesday, May 6, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., at the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad St., Carlstadt. The funeral will depart from the Kimak Funeral Home on Thursday, May 7, at 9 a.m., for a funeral Mass in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, East Rutherford, at 9:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

WEST MILFORD — Services will be held for Mary T. Walsh Gillen, 81, of this township, who died on Monday, April 27, 2015. Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Mrs. Gillen lived in Flager Beach, Fla., before moving to West Milford eight years ago. She was a cashier for A&P Supermarkets, Saddle Brook, for many years before retiring. Arrangements are by the Richards Funeral Home, West Milford. BUTLER — Services were held for Joseph Thomas Henion, 66, of this borough, who died on Thursday, April 30, 2015. Mr. Henion was born in Paterson. He worked for E.I. DuPont, Pompton Lakes, for 36 years before retiring. Also, he was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. Services were Sunday at the Morrison Funeral Home, Butler. Mr. Henion is survived by his sons, Joseph and Richard; their mother, Grace Jacobs Henion; his brother, Donald Barry; and his grandchildren, Alaina Prucnell and Alyson Gibson. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Ellen.
