Alexander A., 93, of Clifton, died Monday, June 16, 2014. Born in Jersey City, he resided there before moving to Clifton 54 years ago. Alex was employed as a machinist for Westinghouse Co. in Jersey City for 40 years prior to his retirement in 1975. He is a WWII US Navy Veteran. Alex was a member of Clifton Elks Lodge #1569, he enjoyed ballroom dancing, gardening, and was an avid fan of Frank Sinatra, the NY Giants & the NY Yankees. Alex is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, the former Theresa D'Errico, by two daughters, Nancy Bunevich of Nutley and Janet Ludwig and husband, Jay of Glen Rock, by three grandchildren, Cheryl Bunevich and husband, Jim Forrester, Sara Mc Cabe and husband, James and Jamie Lo Rocco and by a great-granddaughter, Mara Norris. He is predeceased by nine siblings. Funeral service will be held 12 noon Wednesday at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Road, Clifton, NJ 07012 followed by burial at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday 10 AM-12 noon. In lieu of flowers donations to the will be appreciated.
