Carly Hughes

Carly, 24, of Closter, NJ lost her valiant battle with cancer on Sunday, February 17, 2013.
Carly was the bright light of many people's lives and will be missed by all.
Cherished daughter of Irene Vouvalides and stepfather Tony, granddaughter of Salvatore Bello, beloved daughter of Dr. Richard Hughes, and granddaughter of Lucille Hughes. Her extended family included loving siblings Ken, Allison, Krista, Alex, and their spouses and children. Beloved niece of many aunts and uncles including Gary, Donna, Suzanne, Phillip and sharing a special connection to Judith, Bill, Tanya and Mike; loving first cousin of Jesse and Joshua.
She will be missed by many other relatives, neighbors, friends and co-workers.
She was recently predeceased by her godfather, Dr. Howard Schwartz.
Carly was a graduate with honors of NVRHS Demarest and Boston College.
She was employed by Visible Measures in Boston since graduating from BC.
Carly made many life-long friends who were beside her through her recent fight.
Her soul mate, Mike Hughes, was at the center of her support group and was of great comfort and joy to her.
She will be greatly missed by everyone who was blessed to know her. While her light here on earth was too short, her lasting glow will stay forever with all who knew her.
A Celebration of Carly's life will be held at The Clinton Inn in Tenafly NJ, on February 21, 2013 at 11:30 AM. Please bring a favorite picture of Carly to add to our Memory Book of her beautiful life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Carly be made to the Columbia University Roman Nowygrod Vascular Research Fund, 161 Ft. Washington Ave, New York, NY 10032.
