Cataldo De Palma

Cataldo, known by many as Charles, went to join the Lord on August 20, 2013.
A 50 year resident of Mahwah, NJ, he was the third child of four, born to the late Francesco and Lucy De Palma on June 16, 1928 in Yonkers, NY.
He served in the United States Army, proudly standing in the front lines of the Korean War. He was an employee of the New Car Carrier Company of Mahwah, NJ, for 29 yrs followed by a custodian engineer for 13 yrs at Ramsey Central School District in which he retired in 1994.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Angela De Palma of 37 years, sisters Theresa, Lena and brother Anthony.
Survivors include his children Frank De Palma and his spouse Rose of Wallkill, NY, Mike De Palma of Circleville, NY, Lucy Taylor and her spouse Steven of Monroe, NY, and Mary De Palma of Mahwah, NJ. He is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at immaculate Heart of Mary in Mahwah burial at Brick Church Cemetery in New Hempstead NY. Friends and relatives are invited on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Scarr Funeral Home, Route 202 Suffern.
