Daniel Ciaramella, 85, a longtime resident of Paramus, died on Aug. 23.
He worked for 24 years at General Foods/Maxwell House House Division retiring as a systems analyst. He served in the U.S. Army
during the Korean War
. He was a member of the VFW Post 6699 of Paramus and the American Legion Post #170 in Rochelle Park and Korean War Veterans Association, Inc. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church in Paramus.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rita (DeRinaldi); his children, Anthony Ciaramella, Linda Ciaramella, Diane Ciaramella-Stillings and husband David and Tina Ciaramella; his grandchildren, David "Jake" Stillings and Ryan Stillings; and his siblings, Betty Cooper and Theresa DeRinaldi. He was predeceased by his sister, Priscilla Pietragall.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26 at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Ave. in Paramus. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27, also at the funeral home, followed by an 11:30 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Visitation in Paramus. Interment will be at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
