Edward Frank, 87, formerly of Mahwah, NJ, died Monday, March 31, 2014 at Lorien Nursing & Rehabilitation, in Taneytown, MD. Born July 18, 1926 in New York City, NY, he was the beloved son of the late Mary Siemering Ilg and Frank O. Ilg, as well as stepmother, Emma Ilg. He was the former husband of Diana Butkus and Lena Ilg.
He was employed as a stockbroker for RBC, Dain Rauscher in New York City. He graduated from Hastings-On-Hudson High School and New York University with a B.A. degree. Edward was a World War II Army Veteran.
He was a life-long Giants fan, remaining true to his team for 55 years even after they moved from New York to San Francisco. Ed was an avid sports fan and tennis player.
In addition to his former wives, he is survived by sons, Bryan Ilg of Hollywood, FL; Christopher Ilg of Boulder, CO, John E. Ilg and wife, Gloria Ilg of Westminster, MD, a daughter Donna Bhatia of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX and a granddaughter Kathryn Ilg of Westminster.
Services and interment will be private.
