Edward J. Kuter

Edward J., 85, of Hasbrouck Heights, formerly of Green Pond, passed away on December 1, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Joseph G. and Elizabeth Kuter. He was a graduate of Manahattan School of Music where he received his Bachelors Degree. Edward was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Before retiring in 1993, he was a music teacher for the Wyckoff School System for twenty-five years and a member of the New Jersey Education Association. Edward was an accomplished musician and after retiring, he was a violinist with the North Jersey Symphony Orchestra. He was a member of the Associated Musicians of Greater New York Local 802, and the American Federation of Musicians Local 248 in Paterson. Beloved husband of Lucy (nee McGee) Kuter. Devoted father of Karen O'Leary and her husband Larry of Hasbrouck Heights, Evelyn Reitsema and her husband Robert of Tappan, NY, and the late Gregory Kuter. Dear brother of the late Arthur Kuter. Loving grandfather of Kevin, Megan, Julie, and Katie. Funeral from Costa Memorial Home, Boulevard and Central Ave., Hasbrouck Heights, on Wednesday at 10 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church, Hasbrouck Heights at 11 AM. Interment following at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation Tuesday 2 -4 and 7-9 PM.
