Emil, 92, lifetime resident of Wallington, on Sunday, Feberuary 9, 2014. Prior to his retirement in 1983, he was a machine operator for the Interstate Dye Company in Passaic for 20 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps serving in WW II, and was a member of the Wallington V.F.W. Pavlick Koster Post 2640. He was a parishioner of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C. Church in Wallington. Emil was the beloved husband of the late Bertha (nee Szwed), devoted father of William E. Monkowski of Wallington, loving grandfather of Kimberly and Carey, and great-grandchildren Dylan, Madison and Amanda, and dear brother of the late Joseph, Julius, and Edward Monkowski. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Wednesday, 9:30 AM, from the Kamienski Funeral Home, 106 Locust Avenue, Wallington, and 10:00 AM at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C.
