Frank G. Alster

ALSTER - Frank G., 84, of HoHoKus, NJ died September 12, 2004. Loving father and father-in-law of Robert and Claudia of Frisco, CO; Mary and Richard Wait of Longmeadow, MA; Frances and Sam Kinghorn of Essex, VT and Barbara Wendt of Sauquoit, NY. Loving grandfather of Catherine Fitz Gerald, Michael and Robert Wait; Emily and Max Kinghorn and Sean and Brian Wendt. Frank was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Babcock in 1994. He was a graduate of New York University and Rutgers Law School. Frank was in private practice, Frank G. Alster Attorney at Law for 55 years. He was a member of the Masons, Elks, VFW post 3149, New Jersey Bar Association and the HoHoKus Community Church. He was a former magistrate and town Councilman in Carlstadt, NJ. Frank was a WW II Army Air Force Navigator, 2nd lieutenant and then Captain. Frank was with the 315th Bomb Wing Association and taught celestial navigation. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 18th at 11 AM at the HoHoKus Community Church. Friends may call Friday, September 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home, Ridgewood. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Donations to the American Cancer Society; Multiple Sclerosis Society or Baystate, MA VNA & Hospice in his memory would be appreciated.
