Helen Aversa

Helen E (nee Stocchetti), 72 of Manchester passed Thursday November 15, 2012 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood surrounded by her family. She worked as a cashier for Mobil Oil in Wyckoff for 15 years before retiring in 2004. Born in Brooklyn, NY she resided most of her life in Bergen County before moving to Manchester 6 years ago. She was an active member of the Leisure Knoll Red Hats Society, the Garden Club, Italian American Club and the Irish American Club as well as the Columbiettes. Surviving is her husband of 52 years, Budd Aversa, two sons, Michael of Fairlawn and John and wife Mayra of Harrisburg, PA, and two daughters and sons-in-law, Helen Meccia and Allen of River Edge, and Michele Verbics and Bill of Palmer Twp, PA, brother Jerry Stocchetti of North Jersey, two sisters, Eileen Robinson of Lynchburg, VA and Jo Anne Thiessen of Butler, and most important is her eleven precious grandchildren. Visitation is Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Tuesday 10 AM at St John's Church, Lakehurst with interment to follow At St Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood.
