Henry W. Fox

Fair Lawn — Henry W. Fox, 97, died Oct. 29.

He was born and raised in Fair Lawn and lived there all his life until moving to Virginia 10 years ago. The youngest of six children, he graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in accounting. He served in the Army during World War II and in the Reserves after the war, retiring with the rank of Lt. Colonel. In 1941, he married Alice Reyhner, who passed away in 2002 after 61 years of marriage. He spent his life owning and running an air conditioning business, and was on the board of Valley National Bank for many years. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Catharine R.C. Church in Glen Rock.

Surviving are two children, Brian and Patricia; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

There was a gathering in his honor on Nov. 17. Arrangements by Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, Fair Lawn.
