James Burkle

BURKLE
James, age 53, of Point Pleasant, NJ died on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at his home. He was born in Jersey City, was raised in North Bergen and lived in Guttenberg and Aspen, CO before moving to Point Pleasant 24 years ago. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force. He was employed as a Union Carpenter for many years, most recently for The Conti Corporation in Parsippany. He was an avid Fisherman and was a member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge # 1698 of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. He was a parishioner of St. Peter's R.C. Church in Point Pleasant Beach. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Noreen A. (Grady) Burkle; his son, James P. of Hoboken: his parents, George and Joan Burkle of Point Pleasant; three brothers, George and his wife, Marilyn of San Diego, CA., Stephen of Point Pleasant and Ronald of Toms River and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Wednesday, 4-8 PM at Van Hise and Callagan Funeral Home - 812 Arnold Ave. Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment is private. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in his honor to The Melanoma Research Foundation.
