SELLECK
James J. Sr., 78, of West Milford on Friday, November 1, 2013. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late George F. and Catherine V. (Mullin) Selleck. He was a resident of West Milford for the past ten years moving here from Brooklyn, NY. Before retirement, Mr. Selleck was employed as a mounted patrolman by the City of New York Police Department and was a member of the NYC PBA. Surviving are one son, James J. Jr,, two daughters, Susan S. Mc Guire and Elizabeth L. Selleck, two sisters, Harriet Johnson and Margaret Casale, four granddaughters, Katherine and Elizabeth McGuire and Julia and Gianna Selleck. Funeral liturgy on Monday, November 4, at St. Christopher's Church, 130 Midland Ave. Staten Island with interment at Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island. Family and friends are asked to go directly to church. Visiting hours at the Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford on Sunday, November 3 from 4 to 8 PM. Sorry to hear about Jim. We went to Boot Camp together in Bainbridge Md. In February 1952 and near froze. Later Bob Omerza , Jim and I became NYC Cops. Jim was a great guy.
