Jean Curley

Jean, 91, passed away on November 6, 2013. Jean was born in New York City to Martin and Delia Lyons (nee Boyle) on May 12, 1922. She was raised in the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx, where her family operated a restaurant.
Jean attended the College of Mount St. Vincent in New York, and she worked as an administrative assistant at several firms, including Grand Union. She was a longtime parishioner at St. John the Baptist Church in Hillsdale, and was a member of the Rosary Altar Society there. She was also a volunteer at Villa Marie Claire hospice in Saddle River, NJ. Jean was also a devoted animal lover, and always had a loving pet by her side.
Jean was predeceased by her first husband, John Fellows (1911-1954), and her second husband, James Curley (1919-1985). She was the devoted mother of Joanne Tuohy and her husband Jack of Park Ridge and John Curley of Pacifica, CA. She was the dear sister of Marion Keely and the late Helen Lenormand, Margaret O'Keefe, Martin Lyons, and Thomas Lyons. She was the loving grandmother of Jordan Curley, Lindsay Curley, Kathryn Nicholson, John Tuohy III, Michael Tuohy, and Christopher Tuohy, and the great-grandmother of William Nicholson II, Jillian Nicholson, Charlotte Tuohy, John Tuohy IV, Michael Tuohy Jr., and Juliet Tuohy
The family will receive their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Jean's life and faith will be offered at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Park Ridge, NJ on Saturday 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
