John Autorino

My Sweet Darlin', John Joseph "Jack" Autorino, passed away at our home on Sunday, February 10.
His spirits and sense of humor barely faltered throughout years of serious illnesses. How am I going to "walk through this world" without him?
To know Jack was to like him. I've never known someone so admired and adored by family, friends, neighbors and employees. He and his father had a very special relationship and talked or skyped almost everyday of their lives. His parents, Ann and Arthur, still reside in the home where Jack and his brothers, Arthur and Robert, were raised in Montclair, NJ. Jack was born February 2, 1949.
Jack graduated from Montclair High and then Montclair State. He knew that his "glory days" on the football team at Montclair High helped build character, leadership and team player skills which benefited him throughout his life. We hope to establish a football scholarship in Jack's name at Montclair High.
Jack loved me, our families, his sweet friend, KL Garcia, music, sailing, photography, spending hours gazing at our amazing mountain view and he rarely met a dessert he didn't like! He never stopped missing his sweet dog, Cookie, being by his side; his little shadow.
Jack and I never had children and our relationships with our many nieces and nephews have always been extra special and fun. Everyone has their favorite "story" about something he said or did. Our families and friends will smile and laugh for years to come, thanks to this wonderful warm-hearted man.
Jack moved to Boulder in the 70's and eventually became the General Manager of The Boulder Broker Inn for about 25 years. He contributed greatly to the success of The Broker. The Broker would not have been the same without Jack and vice versa. He was The Broker. He was a magnanimous man.
I met this tall handsome man in 1983 when I began working at The Broker. We married in 1987 and celebrated our 25th Anniversary on Oct 20, 2012.
No public services are planned at this time.
Lovingly, Terri Autorino.
