John Gurdak

John J., 89, lifetime resident of Wallington, on Tuesday, January 29, 2014. Prior to his retirement in 1988, John was head of shipping and receiving at Pantasote Company in Passaic for 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in WWII, and was a member of the Wallington V.F.W. Pavlick Koster Post 2640. He was a parishioner of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C. Church, Wallington, and a former church usher. John was a member of the Wallington Senior Citizens, Wallington A.A.R.P. Chapter 4115, and the national A.A.R.P. John was the beloved husband of the late Josephine H. (nee Tomaszewski), devoted father of Sharon Buhanick, and her husband Edward, of Wallington, and Patricia A. Gurdak, of Lyndhurst, loving grandfather of Edward, Jr. and Johnathan, and great-grandson E.J., dear brother of Dorothy Miskuff, of Wallington, and the late Joseph Gurdak, Mary Boruta, Philomena Sedor, and Irene Bednarz, and dear friend of the late Irene Szymanski. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Saturday, 9:30 AM, from the Kamienski Funeral Home, 106 Locust Avenue, Wallington, and 10 AM at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C.
