John Sr., 87, of Butler, formerly of Garfield, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2014.
Born and raised in Warrior Run, PA, Mr. Kutsup lived in Garfield for most of his adult life and most recently resided in Butler. Prior to retiring, he had been employed as a Shipper/Receiver and Inventory Analyst for Ford Motor Company in Teterboro. Mr. Kutsup was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving during the World War II era. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Michael's Cathedral in Passaic and had served as Assistant Scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop # 8 in Passaic.
He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Anna (nee Szalay) Kucab.
Mr. Kutsup is survived by his beloved wife, Anna (nee Smerecki), of Butler; three devoted children: Michael Kutsup and his wife, Nancy, of Garfield, John Kutsup and his wife, Dana, of Butler and Michele Stammer and her husband, Christopher, of Wayne; three dear siblings: Leo Kutsup of Avenel, Anna Kutsup of Nanticoke, PA and Catherine Komar of Elizabeth; and eight cherished grandchildren: Carly, Kyle, Andrea, Gabrielle and Valerie Kutsup and Nicole, Christopher and Kristen Stammer.
Funeral services will be Wednesday 9:15 AM from the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton and 10 AM at St. Michael's Cathedral, 96 First Street, Passaic. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Panakhida 2:30 PM.
Memorial contributions to either (, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to THON (, the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon to raise funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer would be appreciated.
