Joseph Todaro

Joseph N., 90, of Toms River, passed on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in New York, NY he lived in Fort Lee before retiring to Toms River in 1996.
Joseph was a WWII Army Veteran, he fought in the Battle of the Budge and was a POW for 6 months. He was awarded the French Legion of Honor in 2006 for his service.
He worked as a civil engineer for TAMS in N.Y.C. for 20 years, he worked at the end of his career for the Port Authority, World Trade Center, NY until 1996. He belonged to the National, New Jersey and Bergen County Societies of Professional Engineers, also the American Society of Civil Engineers, NJ Society of Professional Planners. He was past president of the of the United Homeowners Association of Fort Lee.
He is predeceased by his wife of 56 years Catherine who passed in 2011, his son Joseph passed in 2002.
He is survived by his daughter Joanne and her husband David Horner. His brother Carmelo J. Todaro and his wife Marie, three grandchildren Joseph Jennie and Johnny Horner.
