MINKER
Judith (nee Goldstein), age 81 of Boca Raton, FL, formerly of Westwood, NJ and Park Ridge, NJ, passed away 8 days before her husband on Friday, December 28, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Martin Minker, devoted mother of Bruce J. Minker (Diane Farre) of Tamarac, FL, Gary S. Minker (Elena) of Park Ridge, NJ, and Alan J. Minker (Susan Walters) of Durham, NC. Proud grandmother of Danielle, Max, Sarah, Andrew, Joshua and Isabel. Dear sister of the late Lenore Solomon. Also survived by her brother-in-law Arthur Solomon of Sunrise, FL. Judy was a Registered Nurse working at Bergen Pines Hospital in Paramus for 25 years, most of which was spent as a Charge Nurse specializing in Geriatrics. She served as President of Bergen County Nurses Association. She was a former member of the Westwood Volunteer Ambulance Corps. After retiring from nursing, she volunteered as patient advocate at several hospitals. She was an avid tennis player and fan. In 1980, she also earned her BSN from St. Joseph's College in Maine. Marty and Judy were married in 1952 and had just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on November 23. Services will be 12:30 PM, Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Louis Suburban Chapel, 13-01 Broadway (Route 4 West), Fair Lawn, NJ. Burial will follow at Beth El Cemetery, Paramus, NJ. Memorial donations in memory of Judith Minker may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. JDRF.Org.
