Kevin Leo, 61, of Clifton, passed away on January 29, 2014.
Born in Paterson, Kevin was a lifelong Clifton resident. He was employed as a mechanic with Manhattan Transit Authority in New York City. Previous employment was with Palermo Plumbing in Clifton, New Jersey Transit and Beckman's Service in Clifton.
Kevin was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton. He was very involved in his local AA chapter. Kevin organized and served as captain of Beckman's Service Demolition Derby Team.
He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Mabel (nee Yeomans) Carroll.
Survivors include: his best friend, Carol (nee Unis) Carroll; his children, Shannon and Allison Carroll, both of Clifton; two brothers, Ronnie Carroll and his wife Becky of Fair Lawn and Gerard Carroll and his wife Susan of Clifton; two sisters, Laura Newlin and her husband Brian of Matthews, NC and Colleen Munson and her husband Patrick of Colonia, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 9:15 AM from the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton and 10 AM at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair. Visiting will be Monday from 4 to 8 PM.
