Lauren Cohen

Lauren Beverly Esq., died suddenly and peacefully on Saturday, May 3, surrounded by family and friends.
Daughter of the late Sharon and Morris Cohen of Passaic, Lauren lived in Passaic and Clifton before moving to Paramus over 30 years ago. She is survived by her daughter Renee (Andrew) Dain of Baltimore and her granddaughter Hannah. She was the beloved wife of Frank Garcia and their children, Raquel 9, and 8 year old twins Gisele and Gregory. A graduate of Rutgers University and Seton Hall Law School, Lauren was an accomplished sole practitioner, after having worked for major companies Russ Berrie, Ramapo Bank and Agfa Gevaert. A staunch Republican, Lauren loved ballroom, salsa and square dancing, foreign films, travel, and the theater. She was committed to her family, which was her greatest joy in life.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, May 5 at Louis Suburban Funeral Home in Fair Lawn. Burial will be in King Solomon Cemetery, Clifton. Shiva will be held at the home of Roberta Rubin, 3 Longell Drive in Wayne from Monday through Wednesday 4 – 9 PM, and at the home of Renee and Andrew Dain on Thursday, 6:30 - 9 PM (8 PM minyan) and Friday 3 - 5:30 PM.
