Lois Eskin

Lois, age 75 of Ft. Lee, NJ, passed peacefully at her home on Oct. 20, 2013. A chapel service is scheduled for Thursday October 24, 2013, 10 AM at Menorah Chapels at Millburn, 2950 Vauxhall Rd., Union (Vauxhall) NJ. Interment to follow at The Link of Israel Cemetery, Newark, NJ.
Lois was born in Newark to the late Helen and Ben Eskin. She resided in New York City for many years before moving to Ft. Lee in the mid 80's. Lois attended High School in Union, Kean College in Union and the University of Illinois, the University of Cincinnati and NYU for her graduate work.
She operated a publishing consulting firm, Lois Eskin Associates from 1987-2009. Her company specialized in educational publishing. Lois previously was Editor-in-Chief and held various other staff and executive positions, both in marketing and editorial for the school division of Holt, Reinhart and Winston, Inc. and was employed for 18 years from 1969 to 1987. She was also an elementary and High School teacher prior to working for Holt, Reinhart and Winston. Lois retired from her firm in 2009.
Lois was a member of Mensa, a former member of the Association of Educational Publishers, the Managing Editor of Horizon News, the co-op newsletter and a volunteer at Puffin Cultural Forum in Teaneck.
Lois was also predeceased by her brother Paul Eskin. She is survived by many cousins especially Karen, Sarah and Benjamin Dellaripa and Nancy, John Julia and Aidan Reilly.
