Martha Mai (nee Mac Pherson), went home to her beloved husband, George Richard I, on January 6. 2013 surrounded by her loving family at her home of 57 years in Paramus. She lived a remarkable, influential 95 years.
She is survived by her three children, Elizabeth (Betsy) Podmayersky, George (Alphie) Nebeling and Charlotte, Robert James Nebeling and Mercedes (Marie). Martha is also survived by her six grandchildren, Amy Martha Sweezy and Bob, Laura Ramsey and Tom, Kristine Ho and Steve, George Richard II and Jenn, Richard (Ricky) Nebeling, Jennifer (Jenny) Nebeling. Six Great Granchildren, Richard Vogt, Tommy Ramsey, Katie Ramsey, Brittany Nebeling, George Richard Nebeling III and Mitchell Ho. She had many nieces and nephews and a special great-niece Valerie.
Martha was a life member of Paramus Congregational Church for 57 years and a founding member of AARP Chapter 3834 where she held many positions.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus. Funeral Service 10 AM on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home. She will be laid to rest at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
