SCHULTZ
Marvin M., born October 27, 1923 in Jersey City, NJ to Irving and Bessie (Max) Schultz and passed away on February 26, 2014. Marvin volunteered in the US Army in 1942 and served in the ETO during WWII. Following the war he was and Owner and Salesman for a family owned business, Luxite Saw and Tool Company in North Bergen and later Jersey City, NJ. He married the late Helaine (Ross) Schultz in 1956 and settled in Hillsdale, NJ raising two daughters. Marvin and Helaine subsequently retired to South Sandwich, MA in 1991 then returned to live in New York in 2002, and Marvin, upon the passing of Helaine, eventually settling in Mahopac, NY with his daughter Beverly and her family. He is survived by his loving daughter Beverly Petrone, son-in-law Richard, grandchildren Matt, Alec and Brianne, and daughter Marla Friedman, son-in-law Gary and grandchildren Jason, Eric and Paul, and sister Sally Lee Henig and brother Robert. He enjoyed painting, nature, family outings and events, vacations on Cape Cod, and was an avid reader. Marvin was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 2, 2014 at 11 AM at Gutterman and Musicant, 402 Park Street, Hackensack, NJ followed by the burial at Beth El Cemetery, Washington Township, NJ. Shiva hours are Sunday 4-9 PM and Monday and Tuesday from 3-9 PM at his home in Mahopac, NY.
