OAK RIDGE — Services were held for Paul S. Florida, 94, of this community, who died on Friday, September 14, 2012.
Born in New Britain, Conn., Mr. Florida lived in Paterson and then in Wayne for 27 years and Toms River for 21 years before moving to Oak Ridge eight years ago. He was a security guard at Hoffmann La Roche Corp., Nutley, for 20 years before retiring in 1980.

veteran of World War II
, he was a past president and three-times commander of American Legion Post 174, Wayne. He was a member and honorary life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1931, Wayne. He was a member of the Military Order of the Kooties. And, he was a parishioner of Annunciation R.C. Church, Wayne.
Services were Tuesday at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, Wayne.
Mr. Florida is survived by his children, Mary Florida of Clearwater, Fla., Connie Florida of Bushkill, Pa., Vincent Florida of Bayonne, and Andrea Drzyzga of Oak Ridge; his stepson, Stanley Schofield; his stepdaughter, Michela DeTrizio; eight grandchildren; two step-grandsons; three great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandsons.
He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Frances Puglise; his second wife, the former Lucille Schofield; and a granddaughter.
