Paul K., of Washington Township for 56 years, died peacefully on Monday, December 10, 2012 with his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Hulburt (nee Cameron) by his side. He was born in Queens, New York on February 17, 1927.
An Army Veteran of WWII, Paul served with the Army of Occupation stationed in Italy. After concluding his military service, Paul completed a six-year apprenticeship with the New York School of Printing, and remained in the advertising printer industry of New York City for forty years until his retirement. As a devoted fifty-year member of Christ Lutheran Church, Paul edited the church newsletter for thirty years. He served Christ Lutheran Church as Chairman of the Stewardship Committee and the Mutual Ministry Committee. He was also Chairman of the Fortieth Anniversary Celebration.
He was the devoted father of two sons, Paul K. Hulburt of Emerson, New Jersey, and the late Kurt D. Hulburt of Eastford, Connecticut. He is survived by his beloved son Paul and wife Patricia. Paul also leaves behind his adoring grandchildren Robert, Wendy DeMoya (and her husband Chris), Melissa Morin (and her husband Glenn), Abbey, and Kyle, as well as his great-granddaughter Madison.
Paul's burial will be private. A Memorial Service in which Paul's family and friends will celebrate his life will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 32 Pascack Road, Woodcliff Lake, NJ, on Sunday, December 16, 2012, at 2 P.M. Donations can be made in Paul's memory to the Christ Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
