BANNING
Vincent E., 83, of Somers, NY, died Monday, March 25th at Westchester Medical Center, in Valhalla, NY. Born in Olney, MD and raised in Irvington, NJ, Mr. Banning lived in Roseland, NJ and Woodcliff Lake, NJ before retiring in Somers, NY. A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Banning served in the US Navy, attaining the rank of LTJG-Naval Exchange Officer at the Naval Air Station in Atlantic City, NJ. After his Navy service, Mr. Banning joined IBM Corporation, where he was employed for 35 years. Mr. Banning is survived by his ex-wife, Kathleen; his son, Richard and his wife Angela; daughter Kathleen and her boyfriend Todd; and daughter Linda and her husband Matthew and granddaughters Madelyn and Nadine. Visiting will be Tuesday, Apr. 2nd, 6-8 PM and Wednesday, Apr. 3rd, 10 AM-12 PM, at the Moritz Funeral Home, 98 Route 303, Tappan, NY 10983 (845-359-0890 or www.moritzfh.net). A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, Apr. 3rd, 12:30pm at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, 120 Kings Highway, Tappan, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MDS Foundation.
