Walter A., 91, of Kingston, passed Thursday afternoon at the Health Alliance Hospital, Broadway Campus.
He was born July 26, 1922 in Jersey City, the son of the late Joseph and Pauline Westhelle Weyr. He was the husband of Helen Wiebe Weyr; they wed on October 26, 1947.
Walter was a graduate of Leonia High School, class of 1940 and had attended New York University
prior to serving in the US Army Air Corp. He served during WW II, where he taught aerial reconnaissance and photography.
After his time in the service, he taught at the New York School of Photography. He then owned and operated the family business, Wiebe Hardware of West New York, NJ.
A fifty year resident of Palisades Park, NJ, he and his wife moved to Kingston in 2009 and resided at Mountain Valley to be closer to their daughter and family. He was an avid photographer, tennis player and a fan of the Yankees
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Lori and her husband Robert A. Biamonte, West Hurley, grandsons Jeffrey R Biamonte, his wife Felipa and their children Julia and Ava of Hyde Park and Mark R. Biamonte, his wife Maureen and their son Owen of Simsbury, Ct.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, the family will receive their friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-6 PM. The service will be at the Hurley Reformed Church on Monday at 11 AM. Entombment in Fairview Mausoleum, Fairview, NJ on Tuesday 11:30 AM.
