William Ash

ASH
William Harry, 66, died on October 29th, 2012 after a yearlong battle with cancer.
An inimitable New Yorker, Bill spent his professional life in publishing, working as Associate Publisher of Interior Design Magazine and Visual Reference Inc. His consulting projects included time with Alpine Creative Group and decades working with friend, and renowned event designer, Preston Bailey.
Bill resided most of his life in his beloved "Mother Manhattan" and he would have found it only fitting that his death came on the morning of Hurricane Sandy, with the entire city grinding to a halt at his passing. Bill's personal life centered on travel with trips aboard the Queen Elizabeth II and extended stays at his home away from home, in Rio de Janeiro.
Bill was cared for with gracious dignity throughout the final year of his life by Oscar Simeon. Bill is survived by his brother Harry Ash and his wife Becky of Ithaca NY, along with his two dear nephews Brian and Ethan Ash and Ethan's wife Rachel.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 3rd at 11 AM in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery, of Paterson NJ. A memorial for family and friends will be held afterwards and RSVPs are requested by calling 802-318-2844.
