Veronica Duggan Obituary



DUGGAN
Veronica (Ronnie), 92, of Cedar Crest, Pompton Plains, NJ, died peacefully on March 18, 2013. Veronica grew up in Belleville and lived for many years in Clifton before moving to Pompton Plains in 2006.
She is survived by her daughter, Maureen of North Caldwell and her husband, Brian Lynch; her son, William and his wife Amelia of Ridgewood and their triplet daughters Katie, Haley and Molly; and her sister Margaret Waldron of Belleville; brother-in-law Joseph Duggan of River Vale, and sister-in-law Regina Duggan of Long Beach Island. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles, who passed in October of 2012, and youngest son, Robert.
In her youth, Veronica worked for many years in the Newark branch office of the FBI and then at Shulton in Clifton. She was a loving mother and grandmother, an avid bridge player and lived her life to the absolute fullest.
Veronica met the love of her life, Charles, and married him on November 8, 1947 and they enjoyed almost 65 years of marital bliss.
Funeral arrangements are private and being handled by the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Cedar Crest in Pompton Plains at 12:30 PM on Sunday, April 7. Repast is private.
