ARMBRUSTER Alice (nee Sbarbaro), 64, of Bergenfield, died April 5, 2011, in her home. Born in New York City on July 4, 1946, the daughter of the late Julia and Albert Sbarbaro, Alice grew up in Manhattan. She met her loving husband, George W., at Culvermere, a resort for young adults on Culver Lake in Branchville, NJ. Alice was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, George; daughters Carol (Chris) Shenk of Jenkintown, PA, and twins, Diane Armbruster of Waldwick NJ, and Jean (Chris) Meyers of Quakertown, PA; grandchildren, Avery, Lauren and Devin Shenk, and Sadie Meyers. She is also survived by her brother, Albert Sbarbaro of Point Pleasant, NJ; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was a member of Saint John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Bergenfield. Funeral service will start at 9 AM on Monday at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 South Washington Avenue, Bergenfield, NJ 07621 followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at Saint John the Evangelist Church, 29 North Washington Avenue, Bergenfield at 10 AM. Interment will be in Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes. Visiting will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home. In memory of Alice, donations may be made to Saint John the Evangelist Church or to the Holy Name Health Care Foundation, 718 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ 07666, for the Regional Cancer Center. George and Family,
Please accept our sincere sympathy for the loss of Alice. We will remember her fondly with her visits to Lib's.
