PEQUANNOCK — Services will be held for Alexander "Scottie" Aikman Williams, 84, of the Pompton Plains section of this community, who died on Sunday, July 29, 2012.

Born in Newark, Mr. Williams was raised in Newark and was a longtime resident of Pompton Plains. He was a service technician for Pitney Bowes for more than 30 years. Also, he was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

Arrangements are by the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. Burial will be at the First Reformed Church Cemetery, Pompton Plains.

Mr. Williams is survived by his son, Robert; and five grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, the former Edna Walker; his daughter, Robbin Hillis; and his parents, Robert and Helen.
