Carrol Straube Obituary
Carrol Anne (nee Beier), age 54, of Vernon, on Sunday, February 3, 2013. Born in Paterson, Carrol had resided in Paterson until moving to Vernon nineteen years ago. A former parishioner of St. Therese R.C. Church in Paterson, Carrol had worked as the manager of the Jefferson Diner in Jefferson, NJ. Carrol Anne Straube was the beloved wife of Thomas Straube of Vernon. Loving mother of Kelly Straube, Thomas C. Straube, and Michael Straube, all of Vernon, and Bryan Straube of Paterson. Dear grandmother of Kayle-Anna and Emily Straube, and Jaiden Guzman. Sister of Anita Mantone of Old Bridge, Carl Beier of Barnegat, Michael Beier of Caldwell, Brian Beier of Haledon, and Miles Nordskog of Fort Meyers, FL. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral will be departing at 10 AM on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 from the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne for a 10:30 AM funeral mass at St. Therese R.C. Church, Paterson. Interment will follow at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association. www.browning-forshay.com

Carrol had a "tough" exterior but was like a mother to everyone. It was my pleasure to bring her deserts and Dom Perigion Champiagne. Just to let you know that word of Carrol's passing has been heard all the way from the West Coast! She looked out for everyone and put herself 2nd, thats how Carolle is remembered for her tough exterior and her soft interior. Its not goodbye but until next time you'll meet.

Carrol, you are the kindest person I have ever met past midnight. You were a wonderful person, and I know I'll still be with you during my times at the Diner. Thank you for dealing with me and my friends, and my favorite memories will always have you in it.

My deepest sympathies Tom to you ans your family. You don't know me but my family and I eat at the diner 2-4 times a week as it's on our way home from church. Carrol was so dedicated to her customers and to the kids she mentored.there .. . Just an amazing woman. I am blessed to have known her. She will be missed by many and was loved by many. She touched so many people's lives working in that diner. She talked about you and her family all the time. She loved you all so much.
