Dolores Hearn Obituary

LITTLE FALLS - Dolores Ann (nee Dolgas) Hearn, 71, of Clifton, died Jan. 27, 2013

Born and raised in Passaic, Hearn lived in Clifton from the 50s until 1970 when she moved to Little Falls, living there for ten years before returning to Clifton in 1980, residing there since. She graduated from Pope Pius High School, earned her undergraduate degree from Misericordia University in Pennsylvania before then earning her master's degree in British literature from New York University. Prior to retiring in 2002, she had been employed as a teacher at Glen Ridge High School for 33 years where she taught Advanced Placement English to junior and senior students and was the faculty advisor to the National Honor Society. Prior employment had been at Elmwood Park High School where she taught for four years. She was a member of the New Jersey Education Association.

Hearn was predeceased by her parents Michael and Nellie (nee Stypa) Dolgas.

She is survived by her husband Brian R. Hearn of Clifton; brother Donald M. Dolgas, M.D. and his wife Joan of Chula Vista, Calif.; aunts Jeanne Luciano, of Caldwell and Mary Suita, of Garfield; nieces Allison Cato and her husband, Chris and Janine Dolgas, great-nephew Kyle Cato and great-niece Kara Cato, all of San Diego, Calif.

Arrangements: Bizub-Parker Funerals Home, Little Falls.
