WEST MILFORD — Services were held for Louis E. Riva, 89, of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., who died on Monday, September 24, 2012. He was the father of Kenneth of this township.

Born in Yonkers, N.Y., Mr. Riva lived in the Bronx, N.Y., before moving to Yorktown Heights 26 years ago. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Marine Corps League, Putnam County Detachment No. 242.

Services were Friday at St. Joseph's Church, West Milford. Arrangements were by the Richards Funeral Home, West Milford.

Mr. Riva also is survived by his wife, the former Ann Gioielli; his daughters, Linda Vissat of Massachusetts and Mary Ellen Forneris of Virginia; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, Modesto and Antoinette.
