Thomas Hays Obituary
Born in San Diego, Calif., Mr. Hays lived in many different cities and towns across the United States including Kinnelon before moving to Norristown. He worked for Kliegl Brothers Inc., New York City, designing theater and stage lighting. Also, he was a U.S. Naval Reserves veteran, serving for 18 years before his honorable discharge in 1967. He served in the Peace Corps as an industrial arts teacher in Malaysia. And, he was active with the Smoke Rise Players in Kinnelon and the Globe Theatre in San Diego.
Services will be held at St. David's Episcopal Church, Kinnelon.
Mr. Hays is survived by his wife, the former Mary Jane Murdoch Lowry; his stepchildren, William Lowry of Wall, Peter Lowry of Ambler, Pa., Elizabeth Lowry of Chicago, and Ann Atwood of Barkhamsted, Conn.; and six grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Julia.
