ALBANESE
Agnes G. (nee Buonocore), 84, a lifelong resident of Northvale, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.
Beloved wife of 62 years to Charles L. Albanese. Adored mother of Diane Duncan and her husband Mitchell of Rockwood, ME, Michele Albanese of Northvale, and Lenny Albanese and his wife Grayce of Northvale.Cherished grandmother of Leo Albanese and his fiancé Meaghan Kolpack of Newtown, PA and Charles Albanese of Northvale. Dearest sister of James Buonocore and his wife Sue of New Kingston, NY. Also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends that meant the world to her.
Mrs. Albanese was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Agnes Buonocore, her sister Ethel Buonocore, and her brothers, Frank Jr., George, and Robert Buonocore.
She was a devoted parishioner of St. Anthony's R.C. Church, and in her youth she was a member of the Northvale Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and was a telephone operator for the phone company. Agnes enjoyed many activities, including bowling, tennis, golf, ice skating, trips to Atlantic City, eating out, shopping, Bingo, and Friday night card games with friends. She will be dearly missed.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 9:30 AM at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, Northvale with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY. Visiting hours are Thursday 2-4 PM and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale (201-767-3050).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northvale Volunteer Ambulance Corps or your local ASPCA in her memory would be appreciated.
