Andrew Harbison Obituary

Andrew C. Harbison, 77, of Nutley, passed away on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011 at home.

Born in Jersey City, he was a veteran of the Korean War. He resided in Nutley for 53 years. He was a boiler operator for Owens-Corning in South Kearny retiring in 2005.

He is survived by his wife Agnes (Helmstetter) Harbison and children, Karen Tatge and her husband Ray, Charles and his wife, Kerri, Joseph and his wife, Nancy, Laura Reilly and Robert and his wife, Nancy. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and was predeceased by his brother, Donald Harbison.

Cremation was private. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Nutley Elk's Handicapped Children's Fund,242 Chestnut St. Nutley, NJ 07110 or St. Barnabas Hospice, 95 Old Short Hills Rd, 1st Fl., West Orange, NJ 07052.

To Agnes and the family. Thanks to my facebook friend, Karen I learn of Andy's passing. I was so sorry. I haven't seen Andy for many years and remember that we used to joke about looking alike, since we were about the same age. My sincere condolences. George Helmstetter
