PEQUANNOCK — Services were held for Anthony Carrubba, 76, of Toms River, who died on Thursday, November 8, 2012. He was the brother of Salvatore of the Pompton Plains section of this community.
Born in Orange, Mr. Carrubba lived in Livingston before moving to Toms River in 1982. He was the owner of Montclair Radio, Montclair, for many years. Later, he was the manager of Lighthouse Point Marina, South Toms River, before retiring and then worked part time at Bey Lea Golf Course.
Services were Monday at St. Joseph's Church, Toms River, followed by entombment at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood. Arrangements were by the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund, P.O. Box 95, Mendham, NJ 07945.
Mr. Carrubba also is survived by his children, Reyne Schleifer of New York City, Anthony Carrubba of Summit, Connie Delany of Denver, Colo., and Deborah Burdge of Toms River; his other brother, Thomas of Waretown; nine grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
He was predeceased by his wife, Josephine Testa; and his sister, Joanne Casey.
