Charles J. Jr., age 81, a lifelong resident of Lodi, passed away on January 5, 2013. Born in Bristol, Pennsylvania to the late Charles, Sr. and Theresa (nee Angelico). Charles attended and graduated from the Lodi school system and Fairleigh Dickinson University. He went on to work in the business his father founded, Associated Marble Co., of Lodi. He eventually became the President of the company and remained active in its operation even during retirement. He was also the co-owner of Associated Gift Shoppe of Hasbrouck Heights for twenty-six years.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-six years, Beverly (nee Sistaro) DeLuca. Devoted father of Chuck and his wife Barbara of Ridgefield Park, Sharon Albonico and her husband Darryl of Hasbrouck Heights, and Barry and his wife Nancy of Lodi. He was the loving grandfather of Michelle, Chrissy, Amanda, DJ, and Christian. He is also survived by his brother, Peter, and sister, Marie DeLuca, both of Lodi; as well as sister, Virginia Angelico, of Kent, NY. He also leaves behind his special sister-in-law Virginia Mitchell of Saddle Brook.
Besides his devoted love for his family, Charles enjoyed reading and gardening, but to most who knew him he will be remembered for his knack to tell a joke or pass on a humorous story. He will be missed by all, but we are blessed to have had him in our lives. He will remain in our hearts forever.
Funeral from Costa Memorial Home, Boulevard and Central Ave., Hasbrouck Heights, on Wednesday at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church, Hasbrouck Heights at 10 AM. Interment following at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. Visitation Tuesday 4-8 PM.
