Domenica Marie (nee Duncan), beloved wife of John A. Bado III died Monday September 23, 2013 at Hackensack University Medical Center. She was 60 years old.
Born in Jersey City but grew up in Guttenburg where she lived until her marriage. After her marriage she moved to her present residence in Rutherford.
Mecca was the loving mother of two children David Lincoln Hofmeyer and Jenna Ann Bado. She is also survived by three sisters Joanne Halus, Sister Francis Marie Duncan, OSF and Rosemary Bender, and her husband Kenneth.
She is the proud Aunt of Brita, Andrew, Joseph, Ayla Halus and Domenica Miller, Kristen Bender and Jessica Blake. She is Grand Aunt to Amelia Grace Miller and Gavin Blake. She is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Mary Duncan.
Domenica was a Senior Programmer at the Corporate Offices of Valley National Bank in Wayne NJ for many years. She was the Girl Scout Troop Leader for Troop 552 in Rutherford and a volunteer at the Rutherford Elks Lodge 547.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Thursday Sept. 26th from 2-5 and 7-9 PM at the Macagna-Diffily-Onorato Funeral Home, 41 Ames Avenue in Rutherford NJ.
The Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of St. Mary, 91 Home Avenue, Rutherford NJ on Friday Sept. 27th at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers donations in Mecca's name to Girl Scout Troop 62103, Washington Township NJ would be appreciated - Donations can be mailed c/o Earl F. Bosworth F.H. 311 Willow Ave. Hoboken NJ 07030.
