Edward "Eddie" F. Kipfstuhl, 91, long-time resident of Allendale, formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, died on Feb. 10.

He graduated from John Carroll University in 1943 and served in the Navy during World War II. He married in 1949 and spent many years working as a bank examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of NY until his retirement in 1983. He coached youth baseball, served on the Allendale Tree Commission and worked on his lawn and garden.

Brother of Polly Cesnovar (Frank, deceased), John (Pat), Dorothy, Rita Fowler (Jim, deceased), Jim (Karen), Tom (deceased) and Leo (Linda); uncle to 17 nieces and nephews; great-uncle to 22 great-nieces and nephews; and friend and neighbor to many others. He was predeceased by his wife, Grace "Bettie" (Horack) Kipfstuhl.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15 at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave. in Ramsey. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Guardian Angel RC Church in Allendale, with entombment at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.

Memorial donations may be made to Valley Hospital Foundation, 223 N. Van Dien Ave., Ridgewood, NJ 07450, where he served as a volunteer delivering the mail for the past five years.
