Edward "Eddie" F., 91, long-time resident of Allendale, NJ, formerly of Cleveland, OH, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2013 after a brief illness. Beloved husband of the late Grace ("Bettie") Kipfstuhl (nee Horack). Loving brother of Polly Cesnovar (Frank, deceased), John (Pat), Dorothy, Rita Fowler (Jim, deceased), Jim (Karen), Tom (deceased), and Leo (Linda). Uncle to seventeen nieces and nephews, great-uncle to twenty-two and friend and neighbor to countless others. Eddie graduated from John Carroll University in 1943 and served in the Navy during WWII. He married Bettie in 1949 and spent many years working as a bank examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of NY until his retirement in 1983. Outside of work, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, coaching youth baseball, serving on the Allendale Tree Commission and working on his lawn and garden. He was well known around town for his annual tomato crop. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 10 AM at the Guardian Angel RC Church in Allendale, NJ. Entombment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ. Donations can be made in his memory to Valley Hospital Foundation, 223 N Van Dien Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07450, where he served as a volunteer delivering the mail for the past 5 years.
