A Mass for township resident Elvira Rode Leduc will be held Thursday, April 4, at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave., Short Hills. Interment will follow at St. Teresa's Cemetery in Summit. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood.

Mrs. Leduc, 96, died March 31.

Born in Buffalo, N.Y., Mrs. Leduc lived in Short Hills for 54 years. She was an opera singer with the N.Y. Civic Opera Co. in the 1940s before retiring. She also worked as a bookkeeper for many years.

Mrs. Leduc is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Leduc-Garbe and Denise; and three grandchildren.
