Frank J. Jr., 90, of Clifton died peacefully on Monday, July 22, 2013 at his home. Born in Paterson, he resided in Clifton for the past 65 years. A very patriotic American, Frank is a US Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of Albion Memorial Post #7165 VFW. He worked as a steamfitter for the J.L. Crothers Co., Inc. in Paterson for 30 years and is a member of Local #274 of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union. He is also a member of Mountainview Masonic Lodge # 152 in Haledon and the Valley of Northern NJ Scottish Rite who was a Meritorious Service Award recipient and a volunteer with the "Tuesday Crew". Frank is a former member of the Salaam Shrine Center and their Directors Staff. He is also a member, former Trustee and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Clifton. Frank is survived by his devoted wife of 69 years, the former Alice (Collins), by a son Frank J. Davies III and wife, Sharon, by two daughters, Barbara Tomea and husband, Terry, and Judith Terwilliger and husband, Glenn, by six grandchildren, John Davies and wife, Kirti, Stephen Davies and wife, Jessica, Michael Tomea and wife, Julie, Jen Tomea, Amy Hansen and husband, Chris, and Joy Terwilliger, by six great grandchildren, Cooper, Rohan, Deven, Jacob, Sarah and Brady, by a brother Donald Davies and by a sister, Dorothy Sullivan. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Rd., Clifton followed by burial at Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are 2-4 and 7-9 PM Wednesday with Masonic Services at 8 PM. Memorial donations to Be the Match Foundation, 3001 Broadway St. NE, Suite 100, Minneapolis, MN 55413 are preferred to flowers.
