ZARROW Herbert G., 82, of Fair Lawn, NJ on Sunday, May 11, 2008. Beloved husband of Phyllis Roemer Zarrow for fifty-seven years. Mr. Zarrow also deeply loved and was loved by his children; Maria Zarrow and Charles Skidmore and Harry and Norma Zarrow and his grandchildren; Daniel and Lea Robyn Skidmore and Alexandra and Aaron Zarrow. He was a devoted son of the late Harry and Rose Zarrow and dear brother of Raymond and Hylda Zarrow. Mr. Zarrow was a Certified Public Accountants and was a founding partner of Zarrow, Zarrow & Klein, PA. He was a past master of Humboldt Lodge #114 F&AM and a past president of Paterson B'nai Brith. A revered magician, Herb's "Zarrow Shuffle", as well as his other brilliant creations, revolutionized card magic. He was the recipient of many prestigious awards including "The Louie" (Tannen) Award and The Creative Fellowship Award of the Academy of Magical Arts. Herb was a member of the Inner Magic Circle of London, England, and an Honorary Life Member of the Society of American Magicians & of the Magic Castle.
Services will be 1:30 PM, today at Temple Sholom, 385 Howland Avenue, River Edge, NJ. Entombment will follow at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus, NJ. Memorial donations in memory of Herbert G.
