Total love coming your way! You and Jim were a big part of my childhood! Every time mom, Veronica Van Orden, took my sister and I downtown to shop we would stop in to Conrad's. We would have a tuna on white and than a chocolate hot fudge sunday, hold the nuts. It was Heaven! Irene, you would use the nice soft bread that we were never allowed at home and you would give me extra hot fudge! Nothing has ever tasted the same. We truly believed that the Easter Bunny helped make those amazing Easter treats with you! Oh and I just remembered I had my first vanilla cream soda at Conrad's!

I have thought of Conrad's often in the last 45 or so years since I moved to the mid-west. It's amazing how one couple and one place, Conrad's, can have such a positive effect on your memories. I am sure Heaven welcomed you with open arms. Pamela Van Orden
